End of Conference: "Difficult Heritage and 'Nature'"

Our conference "Difficult Heritage and 'Nature': Greening as Forgetting - Greening as Healing?" took place from 19 to 21 September 2024 at the Warburg-Haus in Hamburg. Divided into three panels, a wide range of presentations discussed the role of nature in the approach to "Difficult Heritage" in the period after the Second World War, as well as the use of nature in the re-framing and re-shaping of "Difficult Heritage" in the present, be it within the environment of archaelogical sites or parks or through interventions by contemporary artists. We would like to thank all the speakers and participants at the conference for their inspiring contributions and are already looking forward to the conference publication, which will be published soon in our book series "Verflechtung - Aushandlung - Opazität" at De Gruyter Verlag.
