Prof. Dr. Francisco Bethencourt (King's College London) will give his lecture entitled “The Iconography of the Inquisition” on Wednesday, July 9 from 14:15 to 15:45 in room 120 ESA-W. The lecture will take place as part of Prof. Margit Kern's exam colloquium, but is open for everyone who is interested.

His research deals with the visual culture of inequality and the human rights. The focus of the lecture will be on the iconography of the inquisition however other topics such as the French Revolution or the most recent topplings of monuments could also be discussed.
