Finalization of the Panel “Visual Scepticism and an Aesthetics of Doubt” at the 9th MSA Annual Conference in Prague

The ERC team contributed a panel to the 9th Annual Conference of the Memory Studies Association, “Beyond Crises: Resilience and (In)stability”, which took place from July 14-18, 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Margit Kern chaired the panel entitled “Visual Scepticism and an Aesthetic of Doubt in Reframing Difficult Heritage - Fostering Resilience or Enforcing Instability?”. The members of the ERC team presented their project works in the following papers: Carla Guimarães Hermann ("Denilson Baniwas Brasil Terra Indígena (2020): Reimagining Brazil with Light on Stones'), Winona Pawelzik (‘Utopian Histories and the Ethnological Museum: Photography as an Instrument for Destabilizing Colonial Narratives’), Fabian Röderer Williams ('Place and Scale as Sceptical Strategies.
