Vita
BA in Romance Studies French and Art History at the Ruhr University Bochum and MA in Art History at the Universität Hamburg. Graduated in March 2017 with the MA thesis „Zeitlichkeit, Identität und Erinnerung in den Fotografien des Vieux Paris von Eugène Atget.“ (="Temporality, Identity and Memory in the Photographs of the Vieux Paris by Eugène Atget.") Subsequently, junior scholarship from the Liebelt Foundation Hamburg to prepare a doctoral project. 2017-2021 Aby Warburg Fellowship at the Warburg Institute in London; 2019 Research fellowship at the German Center for Art History in Paris (DFK Paris); 2021-2022 Research fellowship for doctoral students of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with research stay in Paris. PhD project with the title "UNESCO's Les Droits de l'Homme. Universalistic Discourses in Photographic Exhibitions during the Cold War."
2022-2023 Research Fellow of the Isa Lohmann-Siems Foundation in the research project "KörperZeiten. Narrative, Praktiken und Medien" with a sub-project on performative masculinity and homosocial desire in the work of Ilya Mashkov. 2023 Hourly Paid Lecturer for Marking at the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries at King's College London. Since 2024 Lecturer (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) at the Department of Art History at the Universität Hamburg.
Since 2021 Co-Lead of the working group "Fachforum Kunstgeschichte inklusiv" of the German Association for Art History.
